RE: Not 'Unlucky', just Unwilling ...............

True, but that's just it, I don't want to WORK to do something that is as simple as putting a disc in the tray and pressing play. Kind of reminds me of playing records. Clean, clamp, flip, sounds great, but when your listening time is limited it's just a bit much. And then pop, crackle (akin to dropouts or freezes) just as you're sinking in to Mahler 2.

My network is pretty rock solid, but I know I need a new GB router, had no idea how expensive those have become! However, I don't want to screw up what is working here at home for my wife's work and my daughters' school by futzing with it and have it down for any amount of time. And yeah, I know some of the problems are hardware related, but some were across multiple platforms as well.

Hey, i've had my SB Touch for YEARS, and I think it's probably the greatest piece of audio equipment I've ever owned. It may be "the shallow end" but it's opened up worlds and I use it every day to discover new works and new recordings. I know there's "better", but that's just not where I want to put my limited time and energy now.

Oh, and I know where the future is, and I'll be along, since it's becoming harder to find some of the things I want on disc (few or no "re-releases", and more and more OOP recordings that are available only via stream or download) but for now, I just want to enjoy the music.
