RE: Innuos Zenith Mk3 DSD-)PCM Conversion

Reading Innuos' own literature is confusing as the specs can seem a bit contradictory on the subject of DSD (at least to me). There is no mention of support for .dsf or .dff files but it seems clear from the system compatibility information that for DSD replay Innuos Zenith requires connection to a USB DAC which accepts DSD via DoP or native DSD. That seems to rule out any format conversion.

Incidentally. just to mention for clarification, Melco will not convert DSD to PCM in its role as a server (i.e. connected to a network player via your network). It just serves the file! That is how I use my N1. However when used as a streamer (player) to a USB-DAC you can indeed select it to play PCM as a priority over DSD.

Although I think that the answer to your question is no, as their specifications are a little hazy on the issue I have added a link for their contact so you can ask them directly.
