An app allows you to choose a driver or it doesn't
If it does and supports WASAPI/Exclusive mode, you get automatic sample rate switching.
If it doesn't, it will use the audio device set as the standard audio device and this device will use the settings as in the audio panel.
Set the bit depth to the max supported by your audio device.
Set the bit rate to what is common e.g. 44.1 kHz.
Be a bit careful with resampling in Win.
When it coms close to 0 dBFS, the limiter kicks in causing some measurable distortion.
