RE: Thinking of trying linux

Linux runs on any PC and most distros are mostly plug and play depending on hardware, if it's too new or too old. But drivers are there mostly once you find out how to add programs and utilities which isn't hard.

Debian and Ubuntu are popular. I can't say which to choose, my experience is UNIX, BSD, Xenix, PiCore and Munix (Apple's mangled BSD) and a bit of Linux. They're all the same more or less.

You just need to know if that card has a driver to download or build for your Linux choice.
