Home Computer Audio Asylum

Music servers and other computer based digital audio technologies.

LOL!

Likewise, I cut my teeth with Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 1 and was upgrading IBM PCs with hard disks and an AST 6 pack as a side business, so I've been around that block for over 40 years.

It's so frustrating when you get those intermittent problems and don't know if it's hardware going out or a driver update. One computer would blue screen and I thought it was memory or something and it turned out to be a bad graphics card. My last system, a home grown I7 just decided to randomly lock out the keyboard. I still haven't figured out whether it's the motherboard, a bad RAM stick or something else. It'll run for days and then, you can't login because the keyboard doesn't work. That computer was rock solid, running 24/7 for about 4 or 5 years.

As far as teenagers go, you have my sympathies.
