You need to rip the album using an appropriate application. dbpoweramp is generally held to be the best ( I have used it for years). Buy it with the bundled Perfect Tunes and it will automatically sort out all of the cover artwork and metadata issues too (save for the odd bit of editing). You end up with an album folder on your drive which contains all of the tracks in order. A decent media player such as JRiver MC will then play it just like playing your original CD. Of course you can select individual tracks for replay instead if you wish.
You would only find that you needed to select tracks one by one if you ripped each track as a separate entity unrelated to the others on the album.
I would not think of either of my recommendations above as pricey. If you did feel you could spend more then many people like to use Roon for replay. That also offers rich metadata.
