Mostly not, but sometimes very much yes

Like Cut-Throat said, I always have the internet handy to look things up. That's fine for things like credits. But sometimes I miss the artwork, pictures, commentary, jokes, and other media that artists would sometimes put a lot of effort into including in the liner. Especially albums released around the peak of the album era in the 70s and early 80s. It can be hard to find some of this stuff on the internet, and if you find it, it might just be some low res photo that you can't even read.

One case that really sticks out in my mind is Genesis' Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. The original double LP had the full lyrics, the Peter Gabriel short story that the lyrics were based on, and a bunch of story relevant photo-art by Hipgnosis. While listening to the music, I used to enjoy the accompanying imagery and the short story's elaboration on the lyrics. It made it a more immersive experience. Later, I purchased the first generation CD, and it preserved all the LP liner content but in miniature.

The last time I listened to the album, streaming from a copy on my NAS, I couldn't even find the original liner content online except in small images that made the text unreadable.
