there isn't much to configure.
You can en/disable the DLNA server.
As you have to put the audio on the NAS, there is this Public share.
If I have to believe the above link, this is all what is scanned by the DLNA server.
Any other path the DLNA can scan?
What you can do is using the MAC (the Finder I believe) and inspect this share.
Do you see duplicates?
Do you see playlist? Maybe they are scanned by DLNA as well
Do you see .CUE files? Maybe you have single file + cue plus a file for each track.
If you let the DLNA server rebuild the database, does the problem remains?
If you point iTunes to the Public Share, do you see duplicates?
