Hi Bob,
I'm using the Border Patrol DAC SEi, USB only. You're right - support up to 24/96 only. I got the USB version only due to price. So, I'm limited to USB. I like that BP DAC so much that I just don't want to replace it but I probably should have spent the extra money and gotten the switchable USB/SPDIF version. Oh well.
