RE: Anybody tried LMS on Chrome OS

hi ... I could not get this to install correctly... gotta be doing something stupidly wrong...
using Mavericks 10.10.5
lms 7.9.1
tried both lms-matrial-master and lms-material-1.5.8
-zip file on the desktop...unzips and creates a folder... couldn't find anyway to turn this into an app icon...doesn't seem right to drag that into the applications folder but tried it...
-I can see material-skin as a third party plug in with lms
-check the box and and prompted to save changes... the plugin disappears and ends up at the top of the plugins unchecked... check it again and save and it disappears...

so I am apparently not installing correctly... any help would be greatly apprecciated.. thanks
