Wonder how the headphone is connected.
Assuming TRRS or TRS (3.5 jack)
If you are able to swap L/R, your problem is solved.
Can you re-solder the TR(R)S jack?

Alternative: TR(R)S to RCA > RCA to TR(R)S female.
Swap the RCA
