I only have one filter: the iFi SPDIF iPurifier. That goes into my Schiit Modi Multibit external DAC.
The Wyred For Sound Mod is designed to be used with an external DAC. So the choice was between $150 for the iFi or $550 for the WFS. Being this is for a second system for background listening (Audioengine A5+ powered speakers), I felt the latter was overkill and went with the former.
