Maybe have a look at Sonos Connect.
They do have a good reputation as far as user-friendliness is concerned.
It is a long time ago I looked in these kind of products but my memory says:
It is limited to Redbook
It requires some "server" in the network. It is basically file streaming using the file protocol hence not a standalone solution.

Bluesound probably don't have these restrictions but the only product containing the data is the Vault2i, at E 1299 it will stretch the budget too much.
This kind of products is called a music server, a computer dressed up as audio gear.
Most of them are rather expensive.
