I think you have the Vali 2...

Just bought one for my youngest son along with the Modi 3. I paid $99 for the Vali, they had some in their B stock closeout section (always scroll all the way down the product sidebar and look at their B Stock & Closeout section - the units look and perform as good as new with , I believe, the full warranty).

After running it all in, outstanding sound for the money (about $220 with shipping) coupled with a modified pair of MassDrop Sennheiser HD6XX headphones ($199). Combined with a laptop, software like Pure Music and an external hard drive loaded with AIFF files, pretty remarkable.

Really looking forward to their new turntable/arm, Sol, probably shipping early next year. Around $700 and like many of their other products, will be major disruption as I'm guessing it will match the performance of $2k table/arm combos rendering much of the sub-$2k stuff obsolete or at least a poor value. Of course, if it was not sold factory direct, the retail price would be around $1.5k.

A trend I've been noticing in recent years, and especially at RMAF, is that more and more companies are going with the factory direct model. The impact of this trend will be interesting to follow over the coming years. Definitely in the favor of the consumer.
