Thanks guys. I'm having a lot of fun reading up on all this Raspberry stuff. From what I've gather on other treads I've decide to take the plunge with a RPI/dac package from Allo with some preloaded software as I'm really a novice regarding pc audio. Analysis paralysis was starting to sink in. Buy it, set it up and start having some fun. Winters are long in Chicago plenty of time to learn.
