I've never heard MQA but I love the sound of DSD and I just bought a little $300 digital player that is DSD capable. I'm quite impressed with it's sound quality. It has a BurrBrown PCM1795 DAC with BurrBrown OPA1602 opamps in its analog output section and it really sounds great. It might sound a little different than my TASCAM DA-3000 DSD recorder, but I think it sounds just as good when connected to my main stereo system playing through my Thiel CS3.7 speakers. I bought it because I currently copy LPs to 5.6-MHz DSD and the little Teac plays native DSD up to a 5.6-MHz sampling rate. About six months ago I bought a pair of Koss ESP/950 electrostatic headphones and this Teac HA-P90SD is a perfect partner for the Koss electrostatics.
