I use WiFi for the detached garage system

and get great results. Charlie wouldn't like my environment since there are nine networks detected near me - not including my three access points!

In order to continually stream 96/24 (or higher) content there, I bought a $13 external WiFi dongle which has greater sensitivity than the onboard unit. Easy to configure with piCorePlayer.
