This seems like a lot of trace, ie an artifact I'd assume a purist archivist would not want added into the signal by the ADC unless there were some other benefit from the ADC which outweighed this downside. What do you mean by leave very little trace? Are you saying these harmonics are a downside that are offset by other positive performance aspects? if so, which ones, and how much?
