I don't have any trouble making digital recordings of vinyl that sound exactly like vinyl. I use a TASCAM DA-3000 DSD recorder. However, before buying the TASCAM, I also got excellent results with an Alesis Masterlink making 24/96 PCM digital copies. The digital recordings I make are every bit as enjoyable as listening to real vinyl. My turntable is a Sota Millennia Vacuum with SME V and my phono stage is a Pass Labs XOno. I recently replace the original Sota stepper motor with a three-phase synchronous motor controlled by tachometer feedback to keep perfect platter speed at all times.
