Home Computer Audio Asylum

Music servers and other computer based digital audio technologies.

I have but

16 odd linear feet of fully indexed CDs and SACDs located in the listening room's closet, but they never move and just sit there collecting dust...

For me, the resplendent joy of having streamers is never having to shuffle disks from and to shelf and players again.

The content from all those jewel box encased shiny disks and multiple dozens of downloaded (mostly high resolution) albums lives on the music server and is instantly accessible by six different players on the network.

I don't do stacks any more. :)

edit: Well, that's not entirely true as I still have a vestige of the bad old days. In the garage, you'll find a 100 CD spindle full of CDRs that infrequently get rotated to my old Honda's six disc changer pack.
