It's a scale of value and SQ. I find 352k music very nice and spdif less open and transparent up to 192k even with loads of 'enhancements'.
There is actually material difference between the usb3 and usb2 outputs on my Zotac C1320, with good points for each into the Gustard 9028 with the ES chip clock bypassed (a Gustard feature). The USB3 sound is very precise, and but violins and strings can be very slightly piercing. The USB 2 sound is more organic and easy on the ear. Sound staging is different. What is better depends a little on the material. The Gustard is easily the equal of anything costing 3x as much.
Your question cannot be answered as satisfaction can be gained with a $100 'Leaf' usb dac. What I reckon is that there is no point spending $200 on a box such as the popular Singxer F1, as high end sound cannot be achieved.
