RE: Lynx Hilo available with Thunderbolt or USB interface.....

Is there some reason that thunderbolt would be expected to outperform USB with this product?

I've been figuring that I'd mostly be using it as an ADC.

That it has an what appears to be a serviceable DAC in it is nice but I might not end up using it much.

I really like the flexibility to choose AES3 and USB. Who knows, amybe I would hook it up via usb for a while to get some laughs. I would imagine going AES3 in the end for the quiet analog performance. We shall see...

I've also noted the optional DC power input. Is using an external DC supply necessary to get it performing at its quietest?
