Tablets

If you just want a tablet to control a player you can get the cheapest iPad or any cheap android. Or just use a smart phone.

I've had quite a few tablets. The iPad Pro 9.7 currently leads the pack for me and is useful for reading, watching video and listening to music (fair quality on its own, much better through outboard dac/ amp).

Ipad hardware quality is incredible. I like android a lot better as an os, but the total user experience is better on the iPad. And they are expensive. Even the case. I bought the official Apple case and it is perfect but 5 to 10 times more than the many cases on sale at places like Amazon. There seem to be no bargains in the apple world.
