I am afraid i have to stick with this Audio Station app for files playback.
There are a lot of audio players for Linux but installation on the NAS might be a bit troublesome unless you are fluent in Linux.
Maybe the NAS is not only a DLNA server but also a DLNA renderer.
If that is the case any DLNA control point can be used as a application for playback e.g. UPNPlay on Android phone or MusicBee on PC, etc.
