Re: No surprise...but who cares about WAV

With 250gig drives selling for under $100 I dont really see why anyone bothers with compression if thier cd collection is under a few hundred cds. I agree that compressed files dont sound quite as good as a .wav file, the differance is very small but its there, plus it also takes more time when ripping to convert to FLAC or Apple lossless. SO for my 300 or so cds it wasnt worth it. Now if I had maybe thousands of cds i would change my mind. Also you should use EAC instead of WMP, I have had much better results especially with scratched disks on EAC.
