Ok I am still very confused:) Ok first off, im not really that worried about which is better between the cd tranport and pc, these arguements are mostly about the very high end stuff that I will never buy anyways. All I want is my pc to sound at least as good as my modded Marantz cd53. Ok a few quick questions.
1. Does the power supply quality in my computer have an effect on the overall sound quality?? I spent the extra money to get one of the better power supplies(Silverstone Zues 650), was this a waste?
2. My Xfi has an "audio creation" mode, when in this mode there is an option for "bit matched playback" which disables EQ, 24bit crystalizer and SVM. Now if I use that setting and use the digital output on the Xfi, am I getting a bitperfect digital output signal that I can send to my DAC?? This is the part that has me the most confused.
