There is a thread discussing Mr. Fremer's posting of five 24/96 files created from five phono preamps on the Vinyl Asylum. It received minimal attention there. What I found interesting was how little audible difference there was, at least to my old ears, between files.
Yet my old ears detected greater difference between the five file samples recently posted by Bruce Brown. Perhaps these two tests indicate that the quality of A/D has more impact on the resulting file than phono preamp, table and cartridge.
Anyone else come to that conclusion?
