My opinion - Vinyl Studio is easier to use than Audacity. I also have Audacity and Goldwave. You won't have to manually break up tracks or add data as long as the lp you are digitizing is in the database.
There is a 30 day trial available for both mac and pc. The Vinyl Studio owner is working with PS Audio to make the program work better with the NuWave.

I'm using a Tascam US322 to digitize to 24/96 wav. Still learning. I have the Vinyl Studio recording level sliders at 100%. Tascam has red leds below each channels level control that flash when the input is 3 db below distortion (clipping). The Goldwave VU meter, which shows both peak and average levels confirms the -3 db flash point. I use the Tascam lights as a guide.
