RE: Finally i think i have understood something.

I've been feeding my Audio-GD Reference 7 with the Berkeley Alpha USB for a while now. I have tried a number of convertors and sound cards and audio interfaces, but the Berkeley stands alone out of those I've tried in terms of long-term listening enjoyment. It is kind of ridiculous to think that the new price for each unit was nearly the same, but the Berkeley turned the already good sounding DAC into an amazing sounding DAC. Luckily I was able to buy one second-hand from a friend, so the price was a bit more attractive. Compared to other means of feeding the Ref 7, the Berkeley gives a stronger sense of warmth and weight along with further resolution. It is very easy on the ears.
