Recently, I've done quite a bit of Internet research to try to determine whether a iFi iusb power supply or a Musical Fidelity usb-spdif adapter would improve the audio quality of computer audio for a mostly Internet radio usage.
==> I need your advice! I use a Mac Mini into a Music Hall DAC 25.3 via a WireWorld USB cable. The DAC 25.3 has asynchronous USB, and decently low jitter levels, so I'm not sure that the usb interface adapter would help -- or would it? Or would the iFi be a better choice?
When I listen to computer audio, it's usually Internet radio so we're talking 128k AAC and 192k MPS for the jazz stations I like.
If the above option(s) improve the sound for Internet radio, it may prompt me to start buying high bit-rate jazz so I could better appreciate what my Mac Mini can accomplish.
Thanks for your input!
Terry
