Tube DAC

As far as amplification goes, I gave up on solid state a long time ago and my all-horn system is run by a 4 watt per channel triode strapped EL34 amp built by Cy Brenneman. Now that I'm in the market for a better DAC, I'm trying to find out more about this component. I recently posted a message inquiring why there weren't more battery powered DACs. Continuing my research, I would like to ask the forum the following question: why aren't there more DACs with tube rectification and tube output stage? To my knowledge, there is Audio Note DAC that's available in kit form, Jolinda comes to mind, and then there are a few more manufacturers, mostly from China, and that's about it. Is it just the cost factor or are there more factors involved?
