RE: file differences

John, sorry I didn't mean to imply that all 96000/24 files sound bad because of compression or clipping. Of the two examples I posted, the 44100/16 file sounds better to me. I wondered if the cause was evident in the graph.

I do have 96000/24 files that sound very good to me, but also 44100/16 that sound just as good. However, I've not compared different version of the same song.
