Which jazz titles available on HDTracks have you found to be flat transfers? I would be interested in those.
Mastering engineer Steve Hoffman recently made the comment that the glory of original analog tapes don't shine through even in high-rez because engineers can't keep their little fingers away from all the fun knobs:
"I'm talking about Hi Def files prepared from analog masters. Not one case I know of where the actual pure sound of the original survived intact. Too many fiddly hands want to "do stuff" to it."
