Hey Rio,1. Yes
2. No mods, just a few parts substitutions, like hiQ NX BG's around the PCM2706
3. Clip leaded and spreadout on my bench at the momment. Dead Quiet, no hum, buzz or noise.
Final build will have the USB board on a sub-chassis sitting over the top of the input section of the 1541A board, short I2S runs to the I2S jumpers.. not over the d/a chips directly.
