This has probably been discussed some here in the past: are there any opinions on the new 24/96 squeezebox touch purely for use as a computer to spdif converter via wired ethernet? I have not seen much discussion on the protocol used for ethernet out- is this another non-aynchronous method? Are there similar issues to USB in terms of processor availability? Does the squeezebox reclock? Trying to get a sense of whether this would compare with the higher end USB to spdif solutions for connection of a macbook pro to spdif dac.
