Hello!
Well I have made the plunge and bought a Mac Mini to use as my Music Server/Media server. But now I need advice on how to share a media library between Vista, Xp and Mac. I have a NTFS formatted drive attached to the mac mini, and shared to the Vista and Xp computers. Problem is access is slow from the PC side. I was thinking of getting a Buffalo link Station (NAS) hooking it up to the wireless hub and sharing the media off of that?
Has anyone else successfully done this type of integration? My main question are, if I formate the new drive in Fat 32 will access from the mac side be faster? Is another file system preferred?
Would a airport Extreme base station work better than my dlink wireless extreme? (using the usb port)
Thanks!
