probably an early adapter and a bad batch

I got my Aries a few months ago, maybe you had a run from a bad batch?

There is no excuse for that for $1,600 so I am glad you got your money back.

I am mostly streaming, I do have a USB HDD plugged into the Aries for some random albums I ripped, but since Tidal and on the Sonos Deezer Elite I don't rip any more. If I do buy the obscure CD I use my Yamaha to play it back or my Bel Canto.

USB is great, I use it to upsample PCM to DSD on my DAC using Daphile Linux on a budget laptop I bought.

The excesses in available transports is what troubles me, If the Auralic had Deezer support I wouldn't need the Sonos. Also if I could upsample PCM to DSD on the Aries I wouldn't need the laptop.

cheers!
