Calling this a "pioneering" product..This IS the Squeezebox-Community device that has been in the making for years, since Logitech abandoned the endpoint hardware. John Swenson, has been part of that community, working on this device.
This is simply a refined Squeezebox/Razberry Pi/QuBox NAA.
Yes, - there are certainly systems out there are not capable of hearing differences in sources...
This product isn't for you, and you are not interested in "high performance" audio, - you've made that clear through numerous posts on this board. This product is no different than any new DAC, or turntable, or amp. There may or may not be any refinements, - there's no NEW driving tech in it that is somehow "risky." You're happy in "mid-end," - "mid-fi" land? That is great!! You save money, - enjoy your tunes.... You enjoy Tidal, - Tidal is fine. If I were you and running Tidal, - i would never buy a "High End" audio component...
You trying to assert that this is "high risk" is completely, and wholly erroneous..
