Hi !
thanks a lot for the very valuable advice.
I am very ignorant on computer and it is not an easy subject at all.
My main doubt is if T-bolt really addresses and solves the issues present in the usb connection like isolation and jitter increase.
I understand that increased speed is nice but just one aspect of the data transfer.
However, and very triviallly, i tend to think that a technology very good for intensive tasks, like high rez multichannel streaming is, should have no problem at all with simpler tasks.
I have done some experiments until now with usb dacs and in many cases a better usb cable, an isolator make the sound cleaner.
One must i think it is electrical isolation from the pc noisy bus voltage.
Then there is the issue of jitter that should be dealt with at the receiver end (i.e. XMOS).
But the fact that devices like the Regen make the sound better is very telling about the importance to keep the jitter low.
Thanks a lot again.
Kind regards,
bg
