RE: Playing music files directly from a NAS.

Hi and thanks a lot for the kind advice.
I have to say that usually issues come with the source connected.
I made a couple of shorting RCAs for curiosity.
If i short the line preamp with the volume at max zero noise from the speakers.
When i connect a dvd player i start with some noise.
If i connect the tv to the dvd player even more noise.
I will try reversing the main plug.

However i understand that you use XLRs from dac to speakers ?
i wonder if this connection can have a blocking effect on the noise coming from upstream.
That would be a very handy way to suppress noise from the source.

Moreover, do you control the volume with the dac ?
