Intona was the first company to galvanically isolate the USB 2.0 bus in all speed modes.... including USB 2.0 "high speed" which is suitable for hi-res audio. I found that the Intona improved the sonics for USB to DAC better than some other products I tried earlier.
While Intona developed their own isolation method from scratch several years ago, a single chip based solution became available making it a lot easier to implement. It is now gaining popularity in some audio products.
It appears that UpTone is using the chip by The Silanna Group in their ISO-REGEN and we also learned that Ciuans Audio is using the chip in their battery powered ISO-HUB and other products.

Dear customers,
We believe the time has come to send you a short update on our activities here at Intona.
A lot of good things have happened over the last two years. We have worked on a high number of industrial engineering projects, we moved into a bigger office and production facility, we have hired additional staff but most important:
You have made our USB-Isolator a huge success!
And for this success, we would especially like to thank each of you in person as you have spread the word about your positive experience with our Isolator within the audiophile community. We have received a countless number of positive feedback - forwarded directly to us, published in forum threads and in lots of excellent product reviews. You might be aware of the fact that the Isolator was originally designed for industrial use. But all of your positive feedback has contributed to the decision that besides of our other industrial and pro-audio projects, we will start focusing to develop dedicated products for the audiophile community.
In the meantime, we are in discussions with several OEM companies who are very interested in implementing our technology into their devices. It seems we have created some awareness for the right technical treatment of the USB connection in combination with Hi-Res digital music data.
There is also quite a number of companies who are trying to jump on the bandwagon. We really appreciate this fact, as this is giving us the additional confirmation about the meaning and importance of our initial product. Globally we are still the only company, who is able to provide transparent galvanic isolation and reclocking of the USB bus while not depending on a chip-based solution from a third party.
Time to come to an end as for this first and short update from Germany. When we raise our voice for the next time, be sure that there will be very interesting and exciting product updates, you might have been waiting for!
As a small reward for your loyalty so far, we are offering you a 10% discount on your next order with Intona. This offer is valid until October 31st 2017.
Please feel free to share this link with any of your friends who deserves a great upgrade of their audio system!
Once again a big thank you and I am very much looking forward to later in the year, when the right time has come to announce further news from Intona.
