I'm more concerned with trickle charging a li-ion cell and telling people who really don't know what they're doing, to do it without illustrating potential concerns in doing so.
BTW, the Big 5--Sony, Panasonic, LG, Sanyo and Samsung all specify and use CC/CV when charging up their cells and trickle charging doesn't come into play.
Oh, and if I misinterpreted what you are trying to say, I'm sorry.
You're kind of all over the map with it, IMO and I'm not an electronics whiz.
