The PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter at $999 is a high quality phono preamp and A/D combo. When first released it was $1895 but they dropped the price and discontinued making it. However, they are still available new direct from PS Audio and many dealers and online shops like Music Direct, Sound Stage Direct, Audiogon (new). PS may charge for shipping. Most dealers will ship FREE.
There may be some low-budget units ($150 - $300) available from Parasound and Rega.
The HRT LineStreamer+ at $300 - $350 is unfortunately no longer available. It did a very good job for my needs digitizing at 24/96. I wasn't willing to spend anywhere near $1000 or higher as I had only a few dozen albums to digitize and I wasn't trying for "the best". But I can tell you that the albums that I did digitize are very enjoyable and certainly better than just 'background music'.
