RE: Digitising Vinyl

There are a few ADC on the market that you might be interested in priced anywhere from about $150 - $4000. Some are phono preamps with RIAA compensation, ADC, and USB output. Others are line level ADC meant to be used on the output of a linestage (with the phono preamp driving the linestage).

Some ADC handle "CD quality" 16/44.1 while others will do 24/96 24/192 and beyond including DSD.

Some of these are unfortunately discontinued but I'll list them anyway as you might be able to find them used. Obviously not a comprehensive list but what I came up with off the top of my head. Maybe Stereophile has a Recommended Components section with ADC for digitizing vinyl ???

- Ayre QA-9 $3950 - $4750

- PS Audio NuWave Phono Converter $999

- Mytek Brooklyn ADC $1999

- Rega Fono Mini $175

- Parasound Zphono MM/MC Phono with USB out $250

- ADL GT40 / Furutech ADL GT40 ??

- HRT LineStreamer + $300

- Lynx Hilo $2400

- Prism Sound, Various products $$$

I used the HRT LineStreamer + driven by the PS Audio GCPH Phono which happens to have variable output. Software was Audacity (free).
