I've only ever bought one DSD album, an Eric Bibb not available in hi-res PCM. IMO, DSD was much ado about nothing. Sounds great, but so does PCM.

But, the QB-9 DSD upgrade is more about making PCM sound even better than about being able to play DSD. The cost of the upgrade is probably your most economical route to better sound. I'm still plenty happy with mine.
