RE: Why do you, or anyone, want a 32 bit audio recording?

Hi Jerry,

Even if you are using the ASIO driver to send 32-bit fixed point into Windows, as soon as it goes to Audacity it is converted to 32-bit floating point - which has only the same resolution as 24-bit fixed point.

Therefore the "improvement" you are hearing is most likely a placebo effect. Please see my other post on fixed versus floating point.
