At times this forum has seen some US opponents of universal medicare make posts with anecdotal tales about the Canadian health care system. Some of those posts resembled drive-by shootings. I don't pretend that universal medicare is the end-all be-all, but there are some good stories as well that need to be told.
Reading the story in the link made me wonder what would have happened to this woman if she lived in the US and didn't have a million or two laying around. Would she have been taken care of?
