You bring up a good point. There is no real palatable solution today. We stay, more of our guys get KIA for a policy / war that we should not have involved ourselves in. We go, and leave a vacuum of power in a strategic region, surrounded by nations whose imterests aren't aligned with ours.
My prediction: Bush himself will commence a wind down of operations in the theater later this year or early next. His political support from his own party is eroding at home. His sphere of influence is growing smaller. He and Rove will take action to reverse this trend.
