The only requirement to consider yourself an atheist is that you don't believe in any supernatural gods. All else is personal preference. Feelings of transcendence don't require any such belief, as the sensations themselves are primarily a byproduct of electrochemical operations in the brain. The significance we ascribe to those sensations and the conclusions we draw from them about the nature of the universe vary between individuals, but there's no need for gods in any of it (unless we decide to introduce them, of course).So sure, you're an atheist. Welcome to the club. Why did you want to join, again?
