If someone murders someone but the police can't prove he did it (say he had a nice alibi cooked up). Since no charges were laid, does that mean no crime was committed?This is what you're left with once the facts are read into the record, isn't it? "The fact that nobody was charged proves no crime was committed." That's pathetic.
